My partner Alan also writes for children, in early works as Alan Brown and now as Alan James Brown. His latest picture book is Love-a-Duck (ISBN 978-1862338128) telling the adventures of a bath toy duck who has lost his squeak. Non-fiction titles include Tolpuddle Boy (ISBN 978-1905512775) dramatising the life of James Brine, who in the 19th century was sent to Australia as a criminal for joining a union. Alan has recently published two e-books on Amazon Kindle. They are Sword and Sorcery, about a future King Arthur, and Michael and the Monkey King, a boy’s adventures with the monkey god of myth and legend. Alan also plays the flute and the tennis racquet and usually manages to be holding the right one.
